Submission Reviewers

Ideal for people who enjoy reading, writing, analyzing creative work, and discussing ideas.

PURPOSE
Review incoming creative submissions and help decide which pieces are suitable for publication.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Read submitted poetry, prose, articles, art, photography, and short films. Evaluate work against Eirene’s guidelines. Discuss submissions with the editorial team. Identify strong work for upcoming issues. Provide constructive feedback when appropriate, and maintain confidentiality around unpublished submissions.

Writers

Ideal for strong writers who are curious, creative, and interested in journalism and editorial writing.

PURPOSE
Create original editorial content for Eirene in addition to work submitted by contributors.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Write articles, interviews, features, reviews, and other editorial pieces. Research topics relevant to young people. Interview creators when needed. Help develop issue themes and story ideas. Work with submission reviewers and editors.

Graphic Designers

Ideal for people comfortable with Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or similar tools.

PURPOSE
Build Eirene’s visual identity and design its digital content.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Design issue covers. Create layouts for articles and featured pieces. Design Instagram posts, stories, announcements, and promotional graphics. Create visual assets for the website. Maintain consistency across Eirene’s typography, colors, and overall visual identity.

Marketing + Social Media

Ideal for people who understand social media trends, content strategy, communication, and community building.

PURPOSE
Make people discover Eirene and build its international audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Eirene’s social media presence. Plan content calendars. Promote new issues and published pieces. Create reels, posts, stories, and campaigns around submission periods. Reach out to youth organizations, creative communities, and potential collaborators. Analyze engagement and help improve Eirene’s online presence.
